The Sony LTX800G LTO-4 Tapes Offer Data Protection through AES

Sony is one of the most trustful and leading brand and authority in backup, storage, revival and archive. This reliable media manufacture is serving all type of the small, medium, and large business to different major enterprises, more than a million customer trust exceptional, reliable and durable storage products. The Linear tape open is one of a kind; this is an Ultrium based technology which is developed in mid 90s. Sony reliably solve many challenges of information protection, preservation and better management demands with its reliable and most outstanding linear tape open concept.

The Sony reliable prior generations of this trustful LTO Ultrium media format offers excellent contribution to solve many challenges which were related to the backup and storage concerns. The capacities and transfer speed varying from 100GB to 400GB and the transfer speed from 20MB/Sec to 80MB/Sec with excellent security and preservation of information. The next generation of Sony LTO 4 tape offers similar but improved basic features which protect the data and its reliability and offers massive enhancement in capacity as well transfer speed.

Just like LTO3 the next generation Sony LTO4 utilized WORM technology for better and durable protection and preservation of compliance regulatory information which is must need high quality protection from unauthorized access.  A hardware based data encryption technology AES 256-bit applied in Sony LTX800G for enhanced protection of important and useful data and prevents unnecessary data loss during transactions.

The next generation Sony LTO-4 is compatible with all existed Ultrium 4 brands tape drives as well automated libraries and ability to read and write data from prior generations of this dependable LTO Ultrium media format.

The Sony LTX800G LTO 4 media cartridge offers large capacity very high secure transfer speed as well data protection through AES and WORM functions.

The LTO4 Ultrium Improved Media Tape Cartridge Comparatively Much Efficient

The world has been changing rapidly and new technologies and trends now overcoming our lives, Since the introduction of computers and Internet products the huge challenges of the data intensive world has been prolonged. Businesses and enterprises of all sizes around the world generating, amassing up backup and archiving in huge amount of data. Protecting that very important and valuable data in one of the single most significant march you can take to make it certain the constant achievement of your organizations.

As the prior generation the next generation of LTO Ultrium media format Fuji LTO 15716800 enhanced with many new technologies as well improved some basic features. The reliable coating and metal particle improvement help to create a smoother and much thinner base film which enable HP LTO-4 to have 800GB native and 1600GB compressed data on same half inch wide and improved 820M long tape.

The high quality protection is the most attractive element of this new HP LTO4 media format, using WORM (Write Once Read Many) capability which is very useful and experienced in many other existed magnetic as well optical media formats.

The IBM LTO-4 is offering superior capacity which helps organizations the reliable ability to meet strong challenges which is emerging with rapidly growing data. The IBM LTO 4 tape also helps to reduce the cartridge quantities and save very valuable time which is related through backup and storage processes.

The Imation LTO-4 also embedded with high class improved 8KB memory chip which is able to store very important and reliable information about the cartridge usage history and helps reliable and perfect data transfer during load and unload process. Memory chip also accelerates the research speed to access the Maxell LTO4 desired data.

The Sony LTO4 tape is reliably compatible with all existed Ultrium LTO 4 tape drives and automatic libraries. And offering excellent backward read and write function with prior cartridge generations. The TDK LTO4 is perfectly designed with firmly closed cartridge and protect the inside components from outer stresses and enhanced its existence for more than 30 years with preservation of data.

The LTO Ultrium 4 cartridge improved with higher capacities and speed with reliable protection to very valuable and important data.

Sony LTO-4 Tape

LTX800G Sony LTO-4 Tape Cartridge
LTO is an open format that provides the business enterprises more flexibility and luxury to interchange the LTO tapes products among the different LTO brands. Sony has employed breakthrough features in its superior quality LTO-4 tape cartridges. Transfer speed of LTO 4 format has been increased to native 120 MB/s. LTO-4 Sony cartridges data recording ability is 800GB in uncompressed form. Recording capability of Sony LTO 4 tape increases by 100% with the data compression.

Sony has specifically developed new tape materials, surface smoothing techniques and media coating technology for the production of LTO-4 cartridges. These latest manufacturing processes have resulted in more durable and resilient LTO4 storage media. Part number of Sony LTO-4 backup tapes is LTX800W and
LTX800G Sony LTX800W is a WORM enabled media tape. This means that the Sony LTX800W ultrium tape will not allow the users to alter the data after it has been stored. LTX800G is a rewritable LTO-4 tape. Sony has introduced two forms of LTO4 tapes, so that the data managers can select the backup tape which can fulfill the needs of their storage environments. Sony LTX800W is best for busy data centers, workstations and departmental backups.

All generations of LTO tapes are manufactured by Sony, which includes Sony LTO-1 tape (LTX100G), Sony LTO-2 tape(LTX200GWW), Sony LTO-3 tape (LTX400GWW), Sony LTO cleaning cartridge (LTX-CL), Sony LTO-4 tape (LTX800W, LTX800G) and Sony LTO-5 tape (LTX1500G).

High performance Sony LTX800G provides unmatched reliability at 120 Mbps native and 240 Mbps compressed transfer speed. Sony LTO-4 cartridge has longer tape length which allows greater storage capacity. To make this possible, the thickness of tape reel was significantly reduced. Sony LTO4 incorporates an 8-KB memory chip which increases the data throughput. Memory chip reduces file access time.

Sonys exclusive servo track recording mechanism assures smooth tape movement and data tracking, which contributes to the reduced media wear and superior data integrity. Sony has improved the cartridge design of LTO-4 tape and has given it a flange shape so that the tape edges could be protected during heavy duty cycles.

Sony LTO-4 cartridge reliably works in conjunction with the LTO4 tape drive to support hardware based 256-bit encryption. For greater storage capacity, the data tracks of Sony ultrium LTO-4 are increased to 896. Media of LTO-4 Sony cartridges are composed of newly developed ultra fine metal particles. These magnetic particles are evenly dispersed with the help of Sonys improved dispersion technology. Evenly dispersed metal particles enable stable data tracking, optimize the
performance and reduce the wear of data tape. Sony LTX800G ultrium tape provides stable output frequency during high density storage.

Sony has further raised the durability of LTO-4 LTX800G cartridge by the introduction of highly precise cartridge molding mechanism and improved servo signal writing system. Sony LTX800G backup tape has a robust storage medium that provides exceptional mechanical stability during heavy stress and workloads.
